There is a tendency to misinterpret this stage; some may argue that at this stage, "everything is better now." Contrary to popular belief, this may not be the case. During this stage, the individual understands that even though their loved one is physically no longer with them, their new reality is permanent. This doesn't necessarily mean that the individual is "completely healed," as grief is not a linear path and stages can intertwine.
